Abstract

A community survey in 110 neighborhoods in the The Hague area to measure social ecological characteristics like disorder, social cohesion and informal social control. The study is designed to test various theories of crime and offending, in particular Situational Action Theory developed by Wikstrom (e.g. Wikstrom, 2006; 2009). The study instruments measure theoretical constructs at the individual, family, peer, school, and neighborhood level.
