Abstract

Political attitudes as well as judgement on parties and politicians. Topics: political interest; intent to participate in the election; party preference (Sunday question and rank order procedure) in the state parliament and Federal Parliament elections; behavior at the polls in the last state parliament and Federal Parliament elections; certainty of one´s voting decision; personal change in party voted for; satisfaction with the state government and opposition (scale); sympathy scale for the parties at the state and federal level as well as for the top politicians of the state; preference for prime minister; attitude to an absolute majority for one of the major parties; preferred government coalition; judgement on the reliability of the FDP as coalition partner for the CDU; issue relevance; issue competence of possible state governments; comparison of the economic situation in Schleswig-Holstein with that in the rest of the Federal Republic; assumed probability of taking seats in state parliament by the FDP, the Greens as well as the Independent Voter Community; attitude to the candidacy of the Independent Voter Community and assumed damage for another party from this candidacy; significance of the election result for the future of the state; assumed winner in the next state parliament election. Demography: month and year of birth; sex; marital status; religious denomination; frequency of church attendance; school education; occupational position; employment; number of persons in household 18 years old and older; relationship of respondent to head of household; characteristics of head of household; party inclination and party identification; characterization of residential surroundings according to occupational groups; union membership.
