Abstract

Full edition for scientific use. This survey covers the period between April and November 2020 and addresses the impact that the school closures during the lockdowns had on families during the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic. Where possible and appropriate, data were collected for the second parent in the household via proxy. This study was carried out by SORA on behalf of the Momentum Institut. The following topics were covered: a) Parents' employment situation: job position, industry; b) Work situation before, during, and after the lockdowns: actual hours worked, home office yes/no, special care hours yes/no; c) Reconcilability of work and child care: work during off-hours, division of work and child care in the family, support of children during distance learning; d) Only April 2020: Remaining Days Off and Usage; e) Economic situation of the family; f) Sociodemographic data on the family situation.
