Abstract

The study tries to find out what interaction there is between employees working situation and working conditions and their perception of and attitudes towards different types of changes in society. The study is made in two steps, first all 1294 respondents answered the questionnaire and then 164 of them were interviewed in the second step.

Employees in the counties of Stockholm and Kopparberg, working at places with at least ten employees.

Sampling procedure

As a first selection step, a number of workplaces with at least 10 employees from the two counties were randomly selected from the CFR, the central business register. These workplaces were contacted and with their help lists of employees were obtained. The companies were divided into groups according to size, and a number of employees were selected via stratified sampling to receive a questionnaire.
