Abstract

The housing situation in the Bochum center of town and desires of those impacted by renovation. Survey according to Paragraph 4 of the urban development promotion law. Topics: Housing situation; condition of residence and description of residence; perceived possibilities to receive a better residence; complaints about the residence and the building; improvements in public structural facilities; length of residence and previous residence; satisfaction with housing; ties to area; circle of persons with whom one would like to move; average rent and highest rent bearable; modernization recommendations for one´s own residence and the residential area; degree of familiarity of the planned renovation measures; information about the planned renovation; desired location of stores and government offices; desire for expansion of green areas and for preservation of buildings and squares; general wishes on renovation; commuting time and means of transport used to work. Demography: age; sex; marital status; school education; occupation; employment; household income; size of household; head of household.
