Abstract

The sexual behavior as well as occupational and social situation of men. The survey was conceived as a comparative investigation for ZA Study 1124. Topics: 1. The occupational and social situation (oral survey): size of household and household structure; spatial distance to relatives; characterization of residential area; assessment of personal condition of health; height, weight; smoking habits and use of alcohol; attitude to the death penalty, abortion, pre-marital sexual intercourse and extra-marital relations; political interest and orientation toward new things; psychological self-characterization and characterization of ideal as well as actual partner; employment orientation and attitude to employment (scale); attitude to employment of women (scale); characterization of style of child-raising by parents; father or mother as reference person; dominant parent in child-raising; most important socialization authority in parental home or foster home; judgement on marriage of parents; social origins; attitude to saving and sport; length of marriage; judgement on the marriage in the course of time; judgement on personal age at marriage; importance of areas of life; attitude to marriage; judgement on size of personal circle of friends. 2. Sexual conduct (written survey): conversation partner about sex questions in developing years; judgement on one´s own sex education; openness of conversation in parental home; sex life of parents noticed; personal illegitimacy; sex education authority; number of own extra-marital or pre-marital children; judgement on time of birth of first child for the marriage; assessment of perceived burdens during pregnancy of partner; personal presence during birth process; type of contraception practised currently; attitude to the pill for men and sterilisation; number, age, status and time of getting to know steady partner(s) with whom respondent has sexual intercourse; time interval between meeting and first sexual intercourse as...
