Topics: general contentment with life and feeling of happiness; fear of loneliness in old age and the threat of illnesses; concern for one´s job and income; naming good intents for the future, in particular in the area of consumption; frequency of use of alcohol and assessment of personal consumption in comparison with others; attitude to use of alcohol by children; personal reasons for use of alcohol and general legalized reasons for alcohol excesses; information on type of alcohol supplies in household; detailed information on type and amount of use of alcohol in the last 8 days; assessment of the development of use of alcohol with significant increase in price of alcoholic drinks; general evaluation of use of alcohol in the FRG; knowledge of alcoholics and characterization of those addicted to alcohol; perception of warnings about alcohol abuse, feeling of happiness. Demography: age (classified); sex; marital status; ages of children (classified); religious denomination; religiousness; occupation; employment; income; household size; respondent is head of household; party preference (Sunday question); voting behavior at the last federal parliament election; state; character of place of residence; judgement on length of interview and personal interest in interview. Interviewer rating: The interviewer had to carry out an extensive judgement on the respondent: social class, self-confidence, loudness in speech, body movement, facial expression, eye expression, body posture, mouth movements and form of lips; weekday of interview.
