In particular, to assist in estimating current housing needs, the extent to which the current stock meets these needs and to assess future changes.Main Topics:Attitudinal/Behavioural Questions
Residence: type of accommodation, rateable/gross value, dwelling rated with business, estimated age of rateable unit, multi-occupation of rateable unit, household type/age, tenure, how house obtained, details of house price/mortgage/deposit/repayments/rent. Number of persons in household, number of dependent children, number of bedrooms/rooms, whether shared, persons per room, amenities, whether present accommodation goes with job. Satisfaction with size of accommodation, attempts to get smaller/larger accommodation (reasons why not/outcome), consider move to smaller dwelling. More amenities wanted (reasons why not), prepared to pay extra rent for amenities (amount). Knowledge of grants available, applications made (reasons). Amenities respondent considers unnecessary, essential, desirable or luxuries. Number of cars available to household, likelihood of getting a car in next few years, overnight parking, satisfaction with dwelling/neighbourhood.
