Abstract
The Finnish Broadcasting Company (YLE) voting advice application presented candidates in the 2012 Finnish presidential elections with 20 attitudinal statements regarding politics, presidency, the president's duties and powers, foreign and defence policy, and domestic policy. The candidates evaluated these statements on a likert scale and provided rationale for their responses. Background variables included age, gender, home municipality, mother tongue, language proficiency, education, income, and campaign financing.
