Abstract
Consumer habits, political and personal attitudes of young adults in
the Federal Republic.
Topics: perceived effect of politics on personal life; attitude to
radicals; attitude to the Federal German Armed Forces; planned marriage
age; living together with a partner; point in time for founding one´s
own household; desired number of children; personally desired age at
having first child; educational goals; self-assessment of change of
personal educational goals in the last few years; perceived generation
differences; belief in God; frequency of prayer; preferred form of
organizing leisure time; sport activities; preferred music works;
television habits and radio use; detailed determination of the use of
food, semi-luxury foods, tobacco and alcohol and cosmetics; smoking
habits; car possession; car brand; intent to acquire a car; feelings
when driving; vacation trip in the past year; destinations; means of
transport used on the trip; living together with parents; point in time
and reason for leaving parental home.
Scales: attitude to advertising, money, work or selected political
controversies and communism; understanding the role of man and woman.
Demography: age; sex; marital status; number of siblings; position in
sibling sequence; religious denomination; frequency of church
attendance; school education; employment; area of business; household
income; income recipients in household; personally available sum of
money; possession of durable economic goods in household and in
personal possession; size of household; composition of household;
characteristics of head of household; residential status; party
preference (Sunday question); intent to join a party; memberships;
military service or alternative service.
Interviewer rating: presence of other persons during the survey.
