Abstract

This survey is part of the project «Engaging with Conflicts in Mediatized Religious Environments. A Comparative Scandinavian Study" (CoMRel). Data was collected in april 2015 in collaboration with TNS Gallup. The CoMRel-project examined how religion in public conflicts becomes thematised and enacted through mass media and social media and further articulated in social interaction. The main aim was to examine how religion in public spaces becomes thematised and enacted through the media and further articulated in social interaction, both as objects of conflict and resources to handle tensions. Through this, the project developed knowledge about the changing patterns of social interaction and communication during times of conflict in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. University of Oslo collaborated with the University of Agder, MF Norwegian School of Teology, University of Copenhagen and Uppsala University. The project consists of several subprojects.
