Abstract

Criteria in the election of politicians. Preferred parties and judgement on the election campaign. Topics: City size; proportion of employees in industry as well as in the agricultural area; political interest; frequency of reading newspapers and frequency of watching and listening to election broadcasts on television as well as radio; party with favorite election broadcast; expected influence of the election campaign on voting decision of respondent as well as on the decision of the population in general; knowledge of election predictions; personal intent to participate in the election and estimated general election turnout; point in time and certainty of one´s voting decision; expected election winner; party preference; parties one can still vote for; classification of the certainty with which one would vote for or reject the parties in the election; the significance of party leader, party name, decision of family or friends, party promises, popularity of party, local party leaders, election posters as well as election campaign on one´s own voting decision; most active party at place of residence; favorite party in social surroundings; party, about which one has spoken the most with friends; candidate election or party election; preferred election candidate; most important aspects in the decision for an election candidate; preferred characteristics of an election candidate such as e.g. sex, age, religious affiliation, education, title, independence, membership in a large party, place of birth, place of residence, marital status as well as occupation of election candidate; preference for worker or employee, experienced politicians, well-known or popular local or national candidates; preference for an election candidate currently a member of parliament; expected improvements for the country after the election; coalition preference or preference for one-party government of one party; expected governing party; sympathy scale for top politicans of the parties;...
