Abstract

Typical forms and courses of personality development and social conduct as well as of occupational training and work habits of young people and young adults dependening on social factors and social conditions. Topics: General personal orientations: introversion and extroversion; general contentment with life; satisfaction with certain areas of life (scale); life planning and goals in life; life style orientation and private or occupational preferences; social responsibility such as self-respect, community spirit, striving for justice, partner fidelity, readiness for action; personal models; religiousness. Politics and society: political interest; political attitudes such as relationship to Marxism-Leninism, identification with communists, evaluation of future ability of the socialist social system, relationship to the socialist state, relationship to the GDR and the socialist social system, relationship to the FRG and the capitalist social system, relationship to the class enemy, relationship to the enemies of socialist order; world view; attitude to religion; participation in religious events; membership and participation in the FDJ; individual significance of social-political work; social-political activities; political opinions of parents; influence of parental opinion on personal political opinions; political information; connection between use of FRG or GDR television and FRG or GDR radio and political orientations; knowledge about statute books of the GDR; participation in the Jugendweihe {ceremony of adulthood}; wearing western symbols.
