Slovenian Pulse
Slovenian Pulse is a series of short studies which have been conducted by the School of Advanced Social Studies in Nova Gorica since 2009. Surveys are carried out with telephone interview, every time with representative sample of at least 900 interviewees. Every year around 10 surveys are carried out which analyse relation of public opinion towards knowledge, identity, democracy, material welfare, Europe, political orientations, mass media, intercultural contacts, gambling and social development. The thematic section on gambling covered a part of the questionnaire. It was used to reveal what type of gaming facilities would have been needed in Slovenia. As a regular practice until then, the government support and the effect of the prevailing events on the balance of power between political parties were measured. Questions about the first and the second round of presidential elections were also included.
