Abstract

Main Topics:

Variables
The data are the election results obtained by the National Front or National Party (or, very occasionally, some other extreme right-wing party) in the Metropolitan and non-Metropolitan District Council elections on 6 May 1976 - the occasion of the greatest electoral support for these parties. The results have been aggregated to the District level and the thirty-nine Districts in the data-set represent total coverage of all National Front or National Party candidacies in this set of local elections. Also in the data-set are some social and demographic variables pertaining to the respective Districts.
