Study title

The project's objective was to describe and characterize the literary taste of librarians, their attitudes towards fiction and the extent to which their tastes and attitudes affect their literature promotion practices. Librarians in public libraries play a crucial role in the promotion of fiction in Norway. Therefore, their preferences and attitudes concerning this type of literature are of interest. The questionnaire was sent to the entire population of educated librarians employed in public libraries. A series of qualitative interviews were also conducted as part of the project. However, these are not included in the present documentation.
