Abstract

Attitudes of elites and persons influencing opinions on questions of economic policy. Topics: most important tasks of large concerns; assessment of the sense of responsibility of management of large concerns and of industry and economic organizations regarding the public; areas with increasing willingness to accept responsibility; expected development of domestic and foreign demand; assumed growth rate of the gross national product in 1984; inflation expectation for the next twelve months; expected unemployment figures in January 1984; preferred measures to combat unemployment; attitude to securing the provision of energy, saving energy and nuclear energy; trust in the problem-solving ability of the Federal Government; issue relevance; judgement on the importance of international cooperation in selected areas; judgement on the power of international concerns; preferred public areas of expenditure for economic or additional expenditures; print media usage; importance of selected business goals; professional contacts and interest in selected areas of industry; party preference; assumed effects of deployment of new arms on economic relations to the East; attitude to deployment of new arms. Demography: age; sex; occupational position; occupational area of responsibility; state.
