Abstract

Political attitudes, views on foreign policy and judgement on parties as well as politicians. Topics: most important problems of the FRG and satisfaction with efforts to solve them; judgement on economic policy as well as foreign policy, under particular consideration of the Ostpolitik; attitude to the Oder-Neisse Line, to recognition of the GDR and to introduction of a value added tax; expected influence of a value added tax on price development; attitude to the stand of France regarding preventing England from joining the EEC and attitude to the EEC in general; judgement on the international relations of the FRG and the achievements of the Federal Government; most important tasks of the government; issue competence of the parties; degree of familiarity and party affiliation of politicians; judgement on Federal Chancellor Kiesinger, the grand coalition and the opposition; political knowledge and political participation; voting intent and party preference (Sunday question); party identification (continuum for the individual parties); behavior at the polls in the last Federal Parliament election; attitude to reform of the right to vote, to demonstrations and protest marches; judgement on the possibilities of renewed National Socialism in Germany; naming the currently most popular first names for boys and girls; satisfaction with the economic situation; expected price development; general contentment with life and future expectation; membership in a trade union; religiousness. Demography: age (classified); sex; marital status; religious denomination; school education; occupation; employment; income; size of household; head of household; city size; state; refugee status. Interviewer rating: social class and willingness of respondent to cooperate.
