Abstract

This dataset was created for the purposes of SMETER Evaluation as part of the Technical Evaluation of SMETER Technologies (TEST) Project led by Prof. David Allinson at Loughborough University. This Phase 1 dataset used simulated co-heating and in-use data to assess suitability of SMETER Technologies to progress to the second round of the SMETER Innovation Competition. The work was funded by the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. Refer to the Technical Evaluation of SMETER Technologies (TEST) Project report for further information: (https://hdl.handle.net/2134/19169027). This dataset is made publicly available to support research and technology development in the area of Smart Meter Enabled Thermal Efficiency Rating (SMETER) Technologies/in-use HTC calculation. It is also useful for researchers who require a group of dynamic thermal models that are reasonably representative of the UK housing stock for energy demand analysis, overheating prediction, and a variety of other topics relevant to the UK domestic building sector. Please download and make use of this dataset in your own research and use the citation below in all publications that use this dataset or the models and their derivatives. We are happy to answer any questions about the dataset and its use.

This dataset was created via work carried out for the Department of Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) during Phase 1 of the Technical Evaluation of SMETER Technologies (TEST) Project under the Smart Meter Enabled Thermal Efficiency Ratings (SMETER) Innovation Programme. The purpose of the TEST Project was to support and evaluate the development of the SMETER Technologies. The simulation phase (Phase 1), for which this dataset was created, was designed to examine SMETER feasibility and to support algorithm development and testing.
