Part of the study of the ownership and management of housing in the new towns, commissioned by the, then, Ministry of Housing and Local Government. Social surveys were undertaken in Crawley, Stevenage, Aycliffe and East Kilbride. The surveys were concerned with the tenure of housing in the new towns and the opinion of the residents about housing tenure.
