The microcensus has been carried out since the 1970s and has been repeatedly adapted to changing circumstances over time. The last major reform took place in 2014.

Abstract

The Mikrozensus special surveys of the year 1982 have put an emphasis on questions on employment and labour market: in June occupational history (Mikrozensus MZ8202) in September “job seeking/extra hours (Mikrozensus MZ8203) finally, in December professional development and retraining (Mikrozensus MT8204) This survey should give more information on those persons whose schooling has been in the course of second-chance education or who have made use of the possibility of professional development and retraining. This is not the first time that questions on further education have been asked in the Mikrozensus. In December 1973 (Mikrozensus MZ7304) there has already been a special program on this topic.
