Research on the migration events (distant migration) of the 17th to the beginning of the 20th century in Berlin. Acceptance, integration, assimilation, acculturation of the individual immigration groups. Both demographic, religious, economic, political, legal and social aspects of the immigrants and long-time residents are considered. By including conflicts within groups the variety of developments in a narrowly limited geographic area (Berlin) is presented.
