Travel and Holiday Survey/Omnibus

The Travel survey is a continuance of Statistics Norway's Omnibus Survey (1992-2004). Data is collected four times per year. The main goal of the survey is to map out Norwegians' travel habits, as well as to gather other official statistics. This means that the Travel survey also captures other themes than travel.

Abstract

The Travel and Holiday Survey is a continuation of Statistics Norway omnibus survey (1992-2004). Four data collections conducted annually. The purpose of this study is to identify the Norwegians travel and holiday pattern and action on day trips to foreign countries. In addition to the regular series of questions that are asked each quarter, we also have various themes that are asked in certain quarters. In the 3rd quarter we asked about attitudes towards immigrants and immigration. This is not included in the 4th quarter. Instead comes an extended part with questions concerning smoking habits, which runs every 4th quarter. In this quarter, we also continue to ask for fuelwood. To continue the previous official statistics collected by Statistics Norway through the quarterly omnibus survey, the survey also includes questions about smoking habits. Themes for the 4th quarter are: - Travel with at least one overnight stop - Smoking and smoking habits - Wood heating
