Abstract
The housing situation and political participation of persons affected
by the city renovation in Andernach.
Topics: Political interest in general and interest in municipal
policies as well as renovation measures; reading daily newspapers and
evaluation of information about the renovation; evaluation of
information policies of the city council, the parties and the
authorities; identification of opinion leaders and habits in looking
for information in personal surroundings; personal impact of renovation
measures; personal and business relations or stays in the Old-Town;
shopping and relaxation visits in the Old-Town; behavior expectations
of the respondent on the part of family and friends in the political
area; desired authorities for decisions about local political issues;
judgement on the usefulness of political involvement for occupation,
business and reputation; evaluation of personal time budget for
politics, occupation and leisure time; memberships and offices and
functions accepted; evaluation of memberships; residential property in
the renovation area; size and furnishing of residence; satisfaction
with housing; leaving the Old-Town area at demolition of the building;
expected financial consequences of renovation on rent.
