Abstract
This dataset contains information from the sixth study in a series of annual SOM-surveys. The questionnaire was divided into six subject fields: mass media; politics and society; energy, nuclear power and environment; Sweden's relation to other countries; leisure; and background.
Many of the questions are replications of questions asked in previous SOM-surveys, but there is also a number of questions not asked in previous surveys. These questions deals with the content of local morning papers; visits to foreign countries; Swedish television's treatment of those in power in other countries; own and next of kin's utilization of different services, and if one is working within any of these services; judgement of different local services; the Middle East crisis; TV-channels; thoughts of moving to another country, and to which country you should move if you were forced to.
Purpose:
The main purpose is to establish time series that enable researchers to analyse how various changes in society affect people's attitudes and behaviour.
