Abstract

The aim of the project was to evaluate the burdens and development of work load and muscular fatigue among workers in the fishing industry and assess the variation of the strain parameters that were examined. The units for the survey were 31 female workers in the fishing industry. The workers were interviewed in order to map out the extent of muscular fatigue, production levels, working situation and social conditions. Also, the dataset contains data from a simple clinical study and electromyography measures in order to measure tensions in neck- and shoulder musculature while cleaning and packing - standing or sitting. The participants filled out a visual analog scale before and after the measurements with their own judgment of how tired their neck, shoulder, back, hip and legs felt at various tasks. The documentation of the dataset is incomplete.
