Social history of the protestant pastors in Westphalia
in the 19th and 20th century.

Collective biographical data set of all 1687 pastors
who held a steady position in the Westphalian church province
between 1. Jan. 1850 and 21. Dec. 1914.
Recorded were: date of birth, place of birth, occupation of father,
pastor among grandfathers, high school city, high school graduation year,
vocational training before college, first college city, last college city,
number of college cities, length of studies, second studies,
membership in students organizations, stay in theological students housing,
city and date of first and second examinations, academic degrees,
type, city and starting date of the activities in the time as candidate
(up to 11 activities were recorded), date of ordination, type, city and
starting date of pastor positions (up to 7 were recorded),
higher church offices, other offices in church clubs and organizations,
other offices in synods, publications, theological position,
interruptions of the office, type and date of end of office,
death date and death city.
In addition the data set contains information on family relationships.
Thus besides marital status and number of marriages altogether
for the first and a possible second marriage the following was recorded:
marriage date, occupation of father-in-law, pastor among grandfathers of wife,
place of residence of father-in-law, birth and year of death of wife as well as
number of children or births.
