Mikrocensus

The microcensus has been carried out since the 1970s and has been repeatedly adapted to changing circumstances over time. The last major reform took place in 2014.

Abstract

This Mikrozensus survey poses questions on health. The results can give information on the need of care facilities and measures to support care assistants now and in the future. The data is also used to calculate the expenses of health care measures for specific population groups. Similar Mikrozensus surveys have been conducted in 1973 (Mikrozensus MZ7303) and in 1983 (Mikrozensus MZ8304). Changes over time can be interpreted. Important questions in the field of health politics, which are now frequently discussed such as the need for care, are more detailed. New are questions on the health-behaviour and health-information. This survey on the connection of health and labour conditions is especially important in view of the publicly discussed efforts to humanise the world of employment and the topic of early retirement.
