RIS is an academic non-profit project of Center for Methodology and Informatics at Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana. It is partially founded by state's finances (Ministry of Science, Education and Sport; Ministry for information society) and partially by sponsors. Abstract

This survey is performed annually on all schooling institutions (N=850) in Slovenia. It is performed by mail and it covers all the aspect of Internet communication technology usage in these institutions. To ensure continuity most of the questions in this year questionnaire are the same as in previous yeas. The RIS project has been monitoring the usage of the Internet in School Institutions in detail since 1996. In first two years questions were referring mostly to technological views of the use of Internet, in year 1998 study was broaden and questions about content, use and financing of Internet in schools were added.
