Abstract

Oxford Research is carrying out the customer impact survey for Innovation Norway (IN) in collaboration with Samfunns- og Næringslivsforskning (SNF). The surveys include companies that received services from Innovation Norway in the years 2003, 2004 and 2005. For each cohort, a pre-survey is carried out one year after the service was provided and a follow-up survey four years later. Innovation Norway offers products and services that will contribute to developing the rural areas, increase innovation in business throughout the country and profile Norwegian business and Norway as a travel destination. The purpose of the customer impact surveys is twofold. Firstly, it is an internal purpose which is about improving and further developing Innovation Norway's operations. Secondly, there is an external purpose that answers the question "what have we got for our money?". The survey covers the following areas: 1. General information about the project for which support is sought 2. The establishment's organization and implementation 3. The importance of Innovation Norway's support for strategy, expertise and networks 4. Innovation Norway's support results and effects 5. General information about Innovation Norway 6. Background information In this survey, for the first time, the internationalization services are included in a breadth that means they are analyzed as a separate group. The 23 different services are thus divided into four groups, where group 1 is financial services, group 2 is services that offer both financing, advice and networking, group 3 is scholarships and group 4 is internationalisation. A change has also been made with regard to the scholarships compared to the previous year. Previously, this group only contained founder and incubator grants, while it now also contains rural development grants and inventor grants.
