Statistics Norway conducted health surveys in 1968, 1975, 1985 and 1995. The purpose of the surveys was to develop health statistics with information on the prevalence of diseases and injuries, and what impact this has on people's physical activity, identify contact with health care and health care utilization, burden for relatives, mental health and the relationship between illness and social conditions.
