Abstract

SJM68 survey is the first from Slovene Public Opinion Survey series. Questionnaire has covered several topics. First interviewees have expressed their viewpoints of effectiveness of socialist economy; it's shortcomings and perspectives in near future. They also compared public and private economic sector. Next interviewers have evaluated reform of that period, social security system, pensions, and health care system. Separate block of question has been earmarked to address relations among Yugoslav republics and migration problems (i.e. it's causes, and social consequences coming out, together with eventual damage of international reputation suffered by Yugoslavia). Questions on assessment of interior policy, popularity of political leaders, inclination toward League of Communists, together with criteria for it's membership, and elections are stated in third block. Fourth block is dedicated to questions on foreign policy, it's general orientation, and with which ten counties should Yugoslavia cooperate. Interviewees compare these countries with respect of different aspects: possibility of general advancement, schooling, economy, human relations, etc. There are also four questions about defence in general with special questions whether Slovenes should served their military service in Slovenia. In the next block, respondents quoted their opinions about reasons for social inequality, reputation of different professions, and adequate pay for each of them. The last but one block of questions concerns interviewees' attendance to the media (i.e. TV, radio, newspapers, etc.). Last block of questions deals with religiosity, functions of religion, blood donation, human organs, and donation. Demographic question among other includes membership in political organisations, sex, age, marital status, qualification, working status, nationality, assessment of economic status, source of income, and education.SJM68 survey is the first from Slovene Public Opinion Survey series....
