The main sample is comprised of 5,217 children born between June 2004 and May 2005 who were living in Scotland at age 10 months. The boost sample is comprised of 501 children born between June 2004 and May 2005 who were living in Scotland at age 12, were living in an area amongst the 15% most deprived in Scotland and/or whose mother was aged between 16 and 24 at the child's birth.
