To provide information on the level and distribution of training activity by individuals, how it is funded and who takes decisions. It also examines individuals' attitudes to training and the influences on their training decisions. This survey forms part of the <i>Training in Britain</i> Study, a wide-ranging study of vocational education and training in Britain.
