To compile an inventory of all woodlands in Nottinghamshire as recorded on 0.S. 25 inch <i>County Series</i> maps revised 1911/19, and on current 25 inch maps and aerial photographs at 1:10,000 for 1978/80.

All measurements were entered in acres with subsequent analysis in hectares.
