The 1998 'Young People's Social Attitudes' survey is an off-shoot of the 1998 'British Social Attitudes' survey (held at the UK Data Archive under SN:4131). It was designed to explore the attitudes and values of children and young people and make comparisons with those held by adults in 1998 and with other young people interviewed on the 1994 'Young People's Social Attitudes survey'(held under SN:3629). All young people aged 12-19 living in households of BSA respondents were approached for interview.
Main Topics:
The file (bsa98yp.por) contains data for 474 respondents aged 12-19 from a 40 minute face-to-face interview, covering social attitudes and demographic characteristics. The data may be linked via serial number to the adult in household for the 1998 'British Social Attitudes' survey.
