Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the Austrian enterprises’ strategies and preparations for the ageing employees. ->It is for instance evaluated how older employees are involved in the working-process, which strategies regional enterprises have and which measures they have taken or will take. The main target group of this study are the Austrian small- and medium-sized businesses which are especially effected by the demographic change and which are only partially able to handle this situation without support. Starting from an evaluation of the strategical measures taken, these measures are analysed and evaluated with regard to possible misguided developments. The information gained on the enterprises serves the development of appropriate strategies for handling these challenges.
