The main aims of the Direct Marketing Farms Survey, 1979 were:
- to establish the structural characteristics of pick-your-own direct marketing enterprises on farms in England;
- to estimate the areas of crops under pick-your-own;
- and to measure recent changes in pick-your-own and motives of farmers.
