Study on social and political attitudes, in particular right-wing extremism/ reading about national and international politics in daily newspapers, watching television news/ most important national problems/ which party can solve these problems best/ political participation/ importance of patriotism, obedience, national colours and anthem/ trust in politicians and democracy/ attitude to foreign workers, homosexuals, jews, gypsies/ national pride/ equality of men/ best and worst political parties/ left-right rating of political parties/ R's estimation of the numbers of foreigners and asylum seekers/ entry requirements for asylum seekers/ freedom of culture for islam/ contacts with foreigners/ importance of maintaining Dutch national symbols in a united Europe/ prejudices to foreigners/ nationalism, authoritarianism, racism, xenophobia/ satisfaction with residence/ unemployment in R's surroundings/ satisfaction with life. Background variables: basic characteristics/ residence/ household characteristics/ occupation/employment/ education/ social class/ politics/ religion/ readership, mass media, and 'cultural' exposure/ organizational membership
