Abstract

The purpose of Census 2002 is to collect data concerning inhabitants, families, households and dwellings for planning future necessities, decisions and trend on Slovenia's different territorial levels and different social groups (see https://www.stat.si/popis2002/si/default.htm). Public Use Microdata Sample : 5- Percent Sample of Individuals, Dwellings and Buildings is available for students and researchers primarily, who would like to explore more complex relations among variables. Data is anonymised for public use. Integral data is accessible under certain condition directly from SURS. Three data sets are available in this collection: individuals, dwellings and buildings. Data on region, daily and permanent migrations, education and work, family and household situation are available on persons level. Dwellings are described by region, ownership, physical properties, supply and communication installations, and source and installation of heating. Face-to-face interview: Paper-and-pencil (PAPI)Personal interviews; classical enumeration, when all census questionnaires were filled in by especially qualified enumerators on the basis of answers provided by the respondent or by an adult member of the household for absent household members and children under 15. Self completed survey; self-enumeration, when answers to most questions on the P-2 census questionnaire for dwellings and P-3 census questionnaire for persons were answered by the respondents themselves (for themselves and for other household members); from administrative and statistical sources.
