The aim of the study was to provide an estimation of population sizes at fixed times during the period when parish registration is the main source of demographic information.

The data file consists of all the standard data available from a variety of sources such as Hearth Taxes, Visitations and Censuses, arranged in parish and chronological order, and in a format capable of analysis by the University of Pittsburgh SPSS program.
