Abstract

The living conditions survey EU-SILC is an annual living conditions survey carried out by Statistics Norway. Statistics Norway has carried out living conditions surveys since 1973, and from 1996 surveys have been carried out annually. In 2011, the national living conditions survey was coordinated with the EU-mandated Survey on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC). The living conditions survey EU-SILC annually covers a broad area of living conditions, and in addition there are thematic areas for the living conditions survey, which rotates on a three-year cycle. In the course of a three-year cycle, the living conditions components economy, living conditions, leisure activities, social network, exposure to and anxiety about crime, health, care, education and working conditions are highlighted. In 2022, the theme of the EU-SILC survey was volunteering, political participation and trust The data collected is supplemented with administrative data.
