Statistics Norway conducted health surveys in 1968, 1975, 1988 and 1995. The purpose of the surveys has been to develope health statistics with information about the prevalence of diseases and injuries, and the effect this has on the persons physical activity, identify the contact and the use of public health care, the burden for relatives, mental health and the relationship illness and social conditions.
