Abstract
The World Values Survey (WVS) is a global values survey that has been conducted since 1981 in a number of countries around the world, with the intention of monitoring the evolution over time of the values and beliefs of citizens in modern societies and the impact of these values on the social and political life of each country. The survey includes an extensive questionnaire of almost 300 questions, common to all countries, conducted to a rigorous, common specification in "waves" approximately every five years. Until 2017, six "waves" of the survey had been conducted without the participation of Greece. diaNEOsis, in collaboration with the National Centre for Social Research (EKKE), undertook to support the implementation of the survey and the participation of Greece in the seventh "wave", in order to map the values profile of Greek society.
