The purpose of the research is to investigate the use of radio in a historical perspective in Slovenia and especially its importance for the everyday life of people in the past. The research starts from the theoretical framework based on media and cultural studies. It studies radio as a medium that made radical changes in people's daily lives with its arrival in the 1920s and massive spread in the following decades. The aim of the research is to reconstruct its significance, role and uses in society in the past. The cultural history of radio thus reveals how the mass media anchored in Slovenia in the 20th century, how they transformed people's everyday lives and their homes and how they started the media age with the early mediatisation of Slovenian society. The purpose of the research is to investigate the use of radio in a historical perspective in Slovenia and especially its importance for the everyday life of people in the past.
