Abstract

Statistics Norway (Statistics Norway) conducted a pilot study on the quality of life in Hallingdal in the spring of 2019. The survey was commissioned by the Regional Council for Hallingdal. The purpose of the pilot study was two-fold: to provide results on the quality of life in Hallingdal to the client, and to test a web quality survey questionnaire based on the recommendations in the report "Quality of life - Recommendations for a better measuring system" (Bang Nes, Hansen & Barstad, 2018) . Quality of life questionnaire contains several indicators of subjective and objective components of a good life. The survey covers the following topics: general quality of life, health, social relations, working conditions and environment, economic situation, housing and living environment, social conditions, everyday life and leisure.
