To map these organizations, to highlight their scope and to illustrate possibilities for synergies in order to promote cooperation is the main purpose of this research. The legal status of NGOs and the effects of the Associations Law 84, issued by the Egyptian government in 2002, is a focal point. The difficulties NGOs meet in obtaining a legal status as a Non-governmental organization, reflect in complications in fundraising and discussion about foreign influences.
