The work moves in the theoretical and methodological context of modern oral history. The experiences of the subjects are interesting: How did they react to the crisis of the Occupation? What determined their participation or non-participation in the Eamic movement? Also, from the way they narrate their experiences, the meaning that each subject gives to the past is studied, as well as the identity that he constructs in the present: Where do the memory and the speech of each informant focus during the interview? What does the experience of the Occupation and the Resistance mean for everyone today, how does he interpret the present according to his experiences and what messages does he bring to today's collective memory? In short, the aim is a "bottom-up" view of the Occupation and the Resistance, through nine portraits on the micro-scale of a village, with methods of analyzing memory and narration in the context of oral history.
