In this instance the target community was all 91 of the post primary schools, and Youthreach Centres, in Galway, Mayo and Roscommon.<br> Major topics covered in the questionnaire include substance use, peer factors, family factors, school experience, leisure activities, internet and screen use, self-reported physical and mental health, sleep, bullying, adverse life experiences.<br> The purpose of the study is to examine the risk and protective factors in the lives and social environment of young people and to generate the data that will inform the development of community-based interventions to address same.<br> Interventions developed are in the four domains of: <ol> <li>Parents and Family</li> <li>School</li> <li>Leisure time and local community</li> <li>Peer group</li> </ol> 2022-112022-11 Ireland Connacht Individual The target group was 15-16-year-old students in their post Junior Certificate year in counties Galway, Mayo and Roscommon. All 81 post-primary schools and 10 Youthreach centres were included in the study. Survey data Longitudinal: Trend/Repeated cross-section Total universe/Complete enumeration.<br> Based on a pre-defined sampling frame.<br> All students in their post Junior Cert year in the 81 post-primary schools and 10 Youthreach centres in the region were invited to participate.<br> A passive consent process was used. Each student and each student’s parent or guardian was separately informed of the purpose and content of the survey and each were given the opportunity to abstain. Self-administered questionnaire: Computer-assisted (CASI) ISSDA may only supply data for use in the EEA and adequacy decision countries. The data and its creators shall be cited in all publications and presentations for which the data have been used.
