The article aims both to fill the gap in the historiography of the Greek green movement and to facilitate the theoretical elaboration of the reasons that led to its collapse. It addresses specific problems, such as the relationships of the activists, the nature and timing of the challenges they faced, which predetermined the failure of the effort.
